St Patrick´s Day!
HAPPY ST. PATRICK´S DAY!
The leprechaun is a shoemaker who spends most of his time making and fixing shoes. In fact, some people say that when a leprechaun is near, you can hear the tap-tap-tapping of his tiny hammer as he drives nails into shoes.
These little men are also said to enjoy playing tricks on those they meet.
Our students were really surprised when they arrived to school: A leprechaun was waiting for them!

Happy St. Patrick´s Day!
Do you know that...?
1. St. Patrick´s Day is an annual feast day celebrating the patron saint of Ireland. It is a national holiday and it´s usually celebrated on March 17th.
2. People usually eat corned beef and cabbage.
3. It is believed that St Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland.
4. One of the Irish traditions is to pinch anyone who is not wearing green in St. Patrick´s Day.
5. The leprechaun is a small Irish fairy. He is dressed in green with pointed shoes and a hat. Leprechauns are supposed to be unfrendly little men who live alone in the forest, spending all their time making shoes and guarding their treasures.
6. If someone catches a leprechaun, he will be forced to tell where he hides all his pots of gold.

PI DAY!
Good morning, everybody!
Do you know what day is today? It´s March 14th! So, let´s celebrate "Pi Day!"
Pi Day is celebrated in those countries that follow the month/day (m/dd) date format:
In Spain, we write the date like that: 14/03, but in the USA they write the date in this way:
03/14
3/14 are the first three digits of number pi (3,14), and for this reason Pi Day was founded by Physicist
Larry Shaw in 1988.
